Chabbaggiyavatthu

Pali

Na tena paṇḍito hoti,
yāvatā bahu bhāsati;
Khemī averī abhayo,
“paṇḍito”ti pavuccati.

English

You’re not an astute scholar
just because you speak a lot.
One who is secure, free of enmity and fear,
is said to be astute.
