Faith and doubts
Meaning of life
The question of why we live and what gives value to our existence.
What the Bible can tell you
This is the end of the matter. All has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.
Ecclesiastes 12:13
He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does the LORD require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8
Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
Matthew 22:37
A human reading
Many people ask what they live for, especially in moments of emptiness. The text proposes loving, doing justice, and walking humbly. That meaning is discovered slowly, through daily life.
