Pali

Yo ca sameti pāpāni,
aṇuṁthūlāni sabbaso;
Samitattā hi pāpānaṁ,
“samaṇo”ti pavuccati.

English

One who stops all wicked deeds,
great and small,
because of stopping wicked deeds
is said to be an ascetic.
